It’s a wonderful age for learning, and the key ingredients to your homeschooling should be curiosity and enjoyment. This is a critical time for developing a love of learning. Avoid pushing too hard, requiring too much, and directing learning to the point that your child is unable to pursue interests and questions. The list below uses published standards to give you an idea of what to include in your instruction and what kinds of learning opportunities to make available, but it is far more important to explore and discover with your child on an exciting learning adventure than to deeply cover the stated learning goals.
