Children

A Motivating Audience!

Provide a safe community of peers to enhance your child’s education! Dedicated spaces just for primary and elementary students allow kids to post  their original ideas and view the creativity of others.  In a study on peer e-feedback, researchers found that when students have the opportunity to share their work on-line and give and receive peer feedback during the writing process, they “show better writing skills” and “become information evaluators as opposed to passive learners.”  Boost your child’s motivation by providing a real peer audience for their writing, drawing, painting, inventing…! Spark an interest in new things by giving your children a window into the creativity of their peers!

Teens

Topic-focused Peer Connection

Many teens crave connection with peers and the opportunity to share work they are proud of with an audience beyond their own family. Here, high school and middle school students can post their own writing, art, or other creations and comment on the work of others.  Topic forums provide space for connecting with peers in areas of interest.  In addition, high schoolers who are making plans for after graduation can navigate their hopes, dreams, and uncertainties together as they complete the career exploration course and use the tools for research and planning. They can connect with others who have similar interests, share their frustrations and excitement, and walk through the process together.

Parents

Encouragement, Ideas, and Understanding

A space to share your triumphs, ask for tips from parents who have been there, offer your own wisdom and experiences, and find support and encouragement when you need it most. When we team up and support each other, we all have more fun – and get more done!  The Mayo Clinic states that having a social support network leads to better emotional, mental, and physical well-being. We need to be refreshed by time with people who understand what we’re going through to whom we can look for laughter, empathy, advice, and inspiration. Find the forums that match your interests and get connected!

Homeschooling families here for you

We can do this - together!

Homeschooling can be like one amazing roller coaster ride. If it’s new for your family, you may find that you get all buckled in and then can’t figure out how to get the train to leave the station. Some of us have been riding for years and need a little inspiration to throw in some fun loops and corkscrews. All of us go through highs and lows, sometimes in one day. And sometimes life throws unexpected curves at you and it’s nice to know you’re not riding alone.

Don't struggle through it alone. It's more fun with friends to share the ride!

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, "What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
