Social Worker (Child, Family, and School Social Workers)
Work with children, families, and other individuals who face difficulties such as abuse, mental health issues, poverty or unemployment, substance abuse, or require assistance with medical care or caring for children. Evaluate the needs in a situation and provide counseling and other services to improve the quality of life. Collaborate with families, schools, child and family services, law enforcement and courts, doctors, etc. Keep case records and prepare recommendations and reports of progress. Determine the best placement for children (in the home, foster care, group homes, or adoption). Provide information regarding appropriate parenting practices to improve family dynamics.
