A chief revenue office (CRO) is responsible for all revenue generating activities in a company. A CRO integrates and aligns revenue related functions, including revenue management, pricing, customer support, marketing and sales.
A CRO is a market maker they work closely with the senior management to craft and communicate the company’s vision and then transforms that vision into a long-term strategy for starting new market opportunitiesA CRO must be able to measure and analyze productivity and effectiveness. Then form sustainable strategic product road maps, create market positioning and competitive advantages, and determine budget trade-offs . A CRO must be able define and communicate the revenue strategt as well as the company vision to see and clearly communicate the company vision. They are ultimately responsible for executing this strategy within the company.A CRO drives quarterly revenue results while coordinating the strategy over the long-term. They are accountable for defining and executing short term milestones that aim to achieve the longterm strategy.
