Assess the needs of an individual, devise a physical education plan appropriate to his/her needs, use equipment to implement the plan, and adapt the plan as necessary to match the stutdent’s abilities. Use adapted methods to improve the physical fitness, gross motors skills, perception, or sports performance of clients with developmental delays, autism, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic impairments, or other disabilities. Keep detailed, confidential records of progress. Communicate with family members, school or hospital personnel, or support agencies as needed.
