Understand, interpret, and create a character’s role and use speech, gestures, body movements, facial expressions, and behaviors to bring the character to life in order to entertain or inform an audience at a live theatrical production, in a movie or television show, for commercial advertising purposes, etc. May require displays of emotion, interaction with other characters, dancing, and/ or singing. May work on a stage, in a studio, or in any environment needed for the role.
Read, memorize, and interpret scripts and perform in a manner that communicates a wide range of emotions through vocal inflection, facial expressions, movement, and gestures.Take direction from others and adapt your portrayal on cue.Study a real person being portrayed or a time, place or event important to the setting. Work as a team with other actors and the director.
