Sales.Representatives recommend and sell products for wholesale and manufacturing businesses. They contact prospective and current customers to ascertain their needs and preferences. They respond to that information to demonstrate and explain product features, and answer questions about product prices, availability, and applications.They quote prices, credit and contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates. They may train customer’s employees, and provide explanations and support based upon sound product knowledge.They work in offices, or make sales calls on companies and purchasing agents, driving or traavelling as required. Their hours vary, and sometimes include meetings at customers offices, plants, warehouses, or restaurants or other casual sites. They maintain availability by phone, faxes, and may be in contact on weekends or evenings, and keep appropriate records and contact information.
