Working with senior decision makers, these analysts develop and interpret information that defines management objectives and relevant factors which then serve as a basis for decisions and problem solving. They work indoors in offices, mostly at computers, although there is some interaction with other employees.They collect data, formulate mathematical models and simulations to analyze alternatives using complex techniques. After testing results, they present findings to management. factors such as cost, development, inventory control, manufacturing timelines, and logistics are examined. This is all reviewed in regard to successful problem solving and implementation through policies and operational efficiency in the planning and the delivery of services and products.
