Municipal Fire Fighter/EMS Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics

EMT’s and Paramedics assess the nature and extent of illness or injuries, administer first aid or life support care to persons on site. They may extricate trapped individuals. They perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures on site, such as CPR or clearing airways or minimizing blood loss. They monitor heart function during ambulance transport to the hospital. They perate equipment such as EKG’s, difibrillators, or bag valve mask resuscitators.They communitate either by records or reports to physicians and ER personnel any treatment that has been provided or drugs that were administered.
